On Friday, October 13th, our Santa Clarita Mayor, Cameron Smyth, was "Principal for a Day" at Canyon Springs. Six, 6th-grade students were chosen to be "Principal Leaders" and enjoyed a yummy breakfast with him and shared some fun facts about our school. He then proceeded to be interviewed by our CSN crew on how he became Mayor and what he enjoys to do in Santa Clarita. He visited classrooms and our first graders enjoyed hearing him read to them. He even checked out books to some students in our school library. The staff and students enjoyed having Mayor Smyth be our "Principal for a Day."
